28岁的索拉雅从小在纽约布鲁克林区长大。她决定返回巴勒斯坦她的祖父母的故乡。她想领回被银行冻结的祖父母帐户中的钱，但被银行拒绝。她结识一名巴勒斯坦青年埃马德，埃马德一心一意只想离开巴勒斯坦。本片曾参加2008年戛纳电影节“一种关注”单元。巴裔导演安玛莉贾席尔的处女作，以索拉雅寻根的故事，检视巴勒斯坦的排外情结，极致犀利又感性动人，溢满的家国伤痛，宛如男女主角的爱情般深刻，教人低回。
